Company History and Current Status

TriLon Information Services, hereafter known as TriLon, is a solely owned proprietorship registered in the state of Ohio to Mr. William Long. In 1982 TriLon was started as a consulting firm developing, maintaining, and customizing mission critical applications in a variety of industries. In 2002, TriLon began focusing on updating a managed care application as an open source component of a national interconnected health care information infrastructure. According to health care leaders this infrastructure supporting payer-provider transactions (e.g., eligibility, referral, claims) and electronic health records will save up to $80 billion per year while improving the quality of care and decreasing the vulnerability of health care professionals to expensive litigation.

In successfully building the managed care part of the health care information infrastructure, TriLon will be positioned to contribute to the successful building of the rest. The same technology will be used for the hospital inpatient tracking and billing systems, the medical group administration systems, the provider point of service -order entry systems, etc.
